Nothing is uploaded. The file is decoded and measured inside your browser.

About this tool

A spectrogram shows what a waveform cannot: which frequencies are present at every moment of a track. Bass sits at the bottom of the plate, cymbals and air at the top, and the density of the ink tells you how much energy is there.

SKELETUNE draws the whole file as one printed plate and prints the measured key, tempo, length and integrated loudness alongside it, so the image is both a picture and a readable record of the track. Decoding and analysis happen in your browser; no audio is uploaded anywhere.
