About this tool

Tuner reads the note you play, its cent offset and its frequency against a reference target, on a printed-gauge surface.

Pitch detection runs in your browser and the microphone opens only after you start the tuner. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.

How it works

  1. 01

    Start the tuner

Click listen and allow microphone access, then play a single note.

  2. 02

    Read cents

The cent offset shows whether the note sits flat, sharp or centred.

  3. 03

    Adjust reference

Change the reference pitch or pick an instrument preset for the strings you are tuning.
